The options of this sub-menu are available from the Create an environment/buffer option of the Adelia Studio administration menu.
In a new database
This option opens a dialog box that lets you create a database containing either an environment or a buffer.
A buffer is distinguished from a normal environment by its name, which must start with HST. It is thus the database name that specifies whether an environment or a buffer should be created.
In an existing schema or database
This option opens a dialog box used to create an environment's tables within an existing database schema.
A buffer is distinguished from a normal environment by its name, which must start with HST.
In the case of an environment created in a schema, it is the schema's name that determines whether an environment or a buffer should be created. If the schema name is not specified, the tables are created inside a default schema (SYSADEL) and it is the database name that determines the environment's type.
