Access
To display or modify the specific values of a variable, click the Values button of one of the following dialog boxes:
Modify a variable of a transaction.
Modify a variable of a transaction template.
Radio buttons
There cannot be a list of values and limit values (Range) at the same time. The selection is made by clicking the corresponding radio button.
List of values
Click this radio button to specify a list of values.
For an output variable (numeric or alphanumeric), no limit values or list of values can be entered.
Range
Click this radio button to specify limit values.
For an output variable (numeric or alphanumeric), no limit values or list of values can be entered.
Lists
Values
List of all the possible values for a variable. When a value is selected in the list (by clicking it, or using the space bar on the keyboard), it is repeated in the entry field, where it can be modified or deleted.
The entry field is also used to add a new value to the list.
For a numeric decimal value, the decimal separator can be a point "." or a comma ",".

Data entry
Minimum limit/Maximum limit
Limit values of the logical property.
Length: 34 characters maximum.
Optional entry.
Default value
Initial value of a variable.
The Adelia reserved words can be used (for example: *TIME, *DATE).
Length: 30 characters maximum.
Optional entry.
Example value
Display value, for information, used by the Adelia Screen Layout Manager or Report Layout Manager, to make simulation easier.
Length: 30 characters maximum.
Optional entry.
Buttons
Add
This button adds the new value of the entry field, to the list of existing values.
Modify
This button replaces the value selected in the list with the value of the entry field.
Delete
This button deletes the selected value from the list.
Enter/Modify (validation)
The Enter button (in display mode) closes the dialog box.
The Modify button (in modification mode) validates the dialog box.
However, data is only updated in the database when the Modifying a Variable of a Transaction or Modifying a Variable of a Transaction Template dialog box is validated.
Cancel
This button closes the dialog box without validating the modifications made.
