The Logical Data Model (LDM) defines a data representation compatible with the data organization of the database management system used.
A Logical Data Model is composed of logical entities. These entities are described by logical properties.
The LDM may be described manually, or obtained from the Conceptual Data Model via transformation rules.
The Physical Data Model (PDM) is the data description level closest to the technology used.
