The knowledge base is one of the cornerstones of the Adelia package. It lets you develop high quality applications quickly, by offering to integrate tried and tested standard elements.
As soon as Adelia has been installed in the company, you can use a set of industry standard elements included by default in the package, together with a range of solutions developed by Hardis.
The knowledge base contains standard screens, reports and program templates which are ready to be used "out-of-the-box" by developers. It also contains control features, prompts and help information. The knowledge base also has a library of data types, such as the representation of dates in the DD/MM/YY or DD/MM/YYYY formats, etc.
The knowledge base can be progressively enriched with company-specific solutions, as and when new applications are developed.
Adelia Studio has a knowledge base environment which contains:
useful information for configuring environments.
assistance on implementing a standardised database,
tools for building programs to AS/400 CUA standards.
An example application is also supplied in order to demonstrate the potential of the knowledge base.
The environment's name is KLBADEL.
Note: The user guide supplied with the Adelia Studio package has been designed for use with the KLBADEL knowledge base.
