List of work variables in a program.

This list also shows the characteristics of each variable.

• • guide word,

  • type:

    AL	Alphanumerical
    BI	Binary
    DA	Date
    IN	Integer
    NU	Numerical
    PR	Pointer
    TI	Time
    TS	TimeStamp
    UN	Unsigned integer

• • length,

  • number of decimal places,

  • number of elements (with one-dimensional array variables),

  • number of elements (with two-dimensional array variables),

  • short name,

  • reference.

You can sort the list in ascending or descending order of the values in a column by clicking the corresponding column heading.

Retrieve

This option lets you insert the selected variable's guide word into the active document's source, at the cursor's current position.

Copy from

Opens a dialog box that lets you copy variables from various programs to the current program.

Copy

This option opens a dialog box that lets you copy the selected variables.

Create

This option opens a dialog box that lets you create a variable.

Modify

This option opens a dialog box that lets you display or modify the selected variables.

Delete

This option opens a dialog box requesting confirmation before effectively deleting the selected variables. The list is updated when you validate the operation.
