Example Client/Server configuration
The server configuration varies according to the server.
Configuring the AS/400 server
On the AS/400, you must create the user PAUL, whose JOBD contains the libraries:
HA2SLIB
PRODUCLIB (database library)
VALIB (library where the server blocks associated with the REGION logical server where compiled for the Visual Adelia programs).
Configuring the NT server
You must create a configuration for the server.
To do so, you must either:
Select the Server configuration option from the Visual/Web runtime subfolder, in the Adelia Studio folder.
Run the MWCONFIG /S command.
The MWCONFIG /S command creates a file MWSERVER.INI.
This file must be located in the directory in which the daemon is running (Adelia installation directory).
The configuration procedure for a server PC can be broken down into two steps:
the configuration of the users authorized to connect to the server,
the configuration of the databases available on the server.
First you must create the user PAUL:

Starting the servers
As for the configuration procedure, the starting procedure varies according to the server.
On the AS/400
Start the daemon using the STRAWSSVR command.On the PC servers
Start the servers by running the Middleware daemon.
To do so, you must either:
- Select the Middleware daemon option from the Visual/Web runtime subfolder, in the Adelia Studio folder.
- Run the command MWDAEMON.EXE MWSERVER 910.
