Most of the options in the Program menu open an Input help dialog box in which each tab corresponds to an option. This dialog box will be visible at all times, displayed over the 4GL Editor.
General characteristics
This option opens a box displaying the general characteristics of the program in the active window.
The box will be opened in display mode only; to modify any characteristics, you must use the Object manager.
Individual comparison
This option opens the Individual comparison dialog box.
This dialog box is used to compare the source in the active window with the source of another program (from either the same or a different environment).
External functions
This option opens a dialog box displaying a list of the external functions used in the program in the active window.
Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+K.
Pages
This option opens a dialog box displaying a list of the pages used in the program in the active window.
Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+N.
Logical data model
This option opens a dialog box displaying a list of the logical objects used in the program in the active window.
Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+M.
Graphical objects
This option opens a dialog box displaying a list of the graphical objects of interactive programs.
Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+J.
Procedures
This option opens a dialog box displaying a list of the procedures in the program in the active window.
Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+P.
Control breaks
This option opens a dialog box displaying a list of the breaks in the program in the active window.
Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+T.
Variables
This option opens a dialog box displaying a list of the variables in the program in the active window.
Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+B.
Views
This option opens a dialog box displaying a list of the views in the program in the active window.
Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+U.
Web services
This option opens a dialog box displaying a list of the Web services used in the program in the active window.
Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+H.
Verify
This option runs a full check on the program in the active window. The window's bottom pane displays the verification report, which contains:

a description of any errors,
the number of errors per severity level,
a context-sensitive menu that lets you position to errors, open management rules, and save or print the report.
Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+F.
Generate
This option opens a dialog box that lets you set the generation parameters for the program in the active window.
Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+G.
Generate data flow
This option displays a message box, requesting confirmation that you want to generate the data flow, then generates the data flow for the data in the program using the layout information for the windows.
Generate level 2
This option displays a message box, requesting confirmation that you want to generate the level 2 code, then generates the level 2 prototype.
