Version Manager Administration

Before you begin working with the version manager, you MUST be familiar with the concepts involved:

• Version manager

• Production environment

• Development environment

• Correction environment

• Associated correction environment

Only users with the version manager administration authority (*ADM_VER_MAN) are authorized to perform version manager administration tasks. The administration functions can be accessed from the production environment attributes.

Any actions on a version manager that entail creating or deleting an environment must be carried out from a database server machine. As such, the version manager administrator must be able to work at this server machine.

Version manager administration consists in:

• building the version manager,

•  maintaining the version manager

  Maintenance based on a correction or development environment

  Maintenance based on a production environment
