This page lets you create the basic graphical object in an Adelia environment.
You must input the same details that are entered when Adelia Studio's object manager is used to create a basic graphical object.
The name, description and .DLL file name are mandatory.
The prefix is used to form the name of the control that is created when you place the graphical object in a Visual Adelia window.
You can also enter a text message that will be displayed in the tooltip for Visual Adelia's layout manager palette.
The .DLL file's destination directory receives the .DLL file and related documentation files. This directory is mandatory.
We recommend selecting a directory shared by all the development workstations that are used to work in the selected environment. This directory is included when Visual Studio applications are opened. If the .DLL file is not accessible when the Visual Adelia editor is opened, it will not be possible to create the corresponding graphical object in a layout, or open a layout containing that graphical object.
The corresponding ActiveX control must also be installed, such that it is accessible by the relevant development workstations.
The list shows all the Adelia environments catalogued on the machine that have the same version level as the wizard and are not production environments.
A column specifies the additional directory for the .DLL files for each environment. Any directories that are not the same as the one chosen on the first page of the wizard are shown in red.
The context-sensitive menus, which relate to the checked environments, let you:
- propagate, at environment level, the destination directory specified above;
- set the directory specified for the selected environment as the destination directory for the .DLL files;
- propagate the destination directory specified above to all checked environments.
Clicking the Next button displays the final page, where the ActiveX control integration process is run, based on the choices made in the previous pages.
