To display or modify the graphical attributes of a format, click the Graphical attributes button of one of the following dialog boxes:
Modify a subfile format of a transaction.
Modify a subfile format of a transaction template.
This dialog box is used to add graphical features to a subfile format, for PC generation. It also defines the associated context-sensitive menu.
Displayed data
Name
Name of the variable associated with the subfile format's option code.
Line
Column
Numbers of the line and columns on which the variable is placed.
Check boxes
Context-sensitive menu
Indicates that a context-sensitive menu will be generated in the transaction or in the transaction template.
None (lines to hide)
Indicates that no lines will be hidden on the transaction or transaction template. Any text concerning available options will be retained.
Default option
Indicates the method used to call the default context-sensitive menu option for the lines selected in the subfile.
Default text
Indicates that the context-sensitive menu option's selection text will be that defined in the environment's graphical attributes.
Data entry
Begin/End (lines to hide)
The lines to hide correspond to the text describing option codes (Example: 2=Modify 3=Copy 4=Delete, etc.). When a context-sensitive menu is generated, these lines are no longer necessary.
Enter the numbers of the lines to hide directly in the "Begin" and "End" fields, or scroll through the existing values using the arrow buttons.
The deleted lines are replaced by the "Selection text".
To hide no lines, check the None box.
Selection text
The lines to hide are replaced with the text entered here.
If the Default text box is checked, the text used is that defined in the environment's graphical attributes.
Otherwise, enter a customized text.
Buttons
Associate a variable
This button opens a dialog box which is used to modify the variable associated with the option code.
Menu detail
This button opens a dialog box which is used to define the context-sensitive menu associated with the subfile.
Modify (validation)
This button validates the modifications made and closes the dialog box.
Cancel
This button closes the dialog box without validating the modifications made.
