This phase corresponds to the automatic generation of the various initialization, verification, validation and softkey process sections.
These instructions are located between the BEGIN_STD and END_STD instructions.
Warning:
Before you generate level 2, all instructions located between these 4GL instructions will be deleted.
Moreover, if these sections contain instructions but do not contain the INSERT_STD instruction nor BEGIN_STD / END_STD instructions, no instruction will be generated.
The instructions are generated automatically for the beginning and end of program (between the BEGIN_STD_D/END_STD and BEGIN_STD_E/END_STD instructions in the INIT_PGM section).
Click here for details on the corresponding 4GL instructions.
Note: When you generate the level 2 of a VADELIA (respectively WADELIA) program, only the management rules whose type of source includes VISUAL (and respectively WEB) are taken into account.
To run level 2 generation, you must either:
Check the Level 2 box in the Programs tab of the Object manager, then click the Generate button.
Check the Level 2 box in the Work with a batch program dialog box, then click the Generate button.
Choose the Generate level 2 option in the Program menu of the 4GL Editor.
The level 2 generation is made differently according to the way you work:

Conclusion
The level 2 generation builds the sections corresponding to a program template that has been defined previously, and includes to the latter all necessary instructions (data flow, how to work with graphical lists, implicit management rules linked to the data used, etc.).
These templates do not yet contain the calculation or processing algorithms specific to the program.
You can modify a level 2 model and complete it to obtain the final model.
