Access

To modify the 4GL Editor's options that are common to the various types of document handled, you must either:

  • Select the Options option in the 4GL Editor's Tools menu.

  • Select the Options option in the Visual Adelia Layout manager's Tools menu.


The 4GL Editor's options are set out on several pages:


To modify any of these pages, just click on the relevant tab.


With Visual Adelia type documents, the presentation characteristics will only be applied to the work window's source view.


Any changes to characteristics will be applied immediately.


Unless the contrary is specified, the changes made in the characteristics will take effect immediately.


The explanations of the buttons given below apply to all the pages.


Buttons

OK

Validates the choices made and closes the dialog box.


Cancel

Closes the dialog box without validating the choices made.

Keyboard shortcut: Esc.


Export

Exports the editor and layout manager configuration into an XML file.

Note: this function also confirms the choices made, without closing the dialog box.


Import

Opens a dialog box used to import all or some of the editor configuration from an XML file generated by the Export option.
