To display or modify the general characteristics of a screen format for a transaction, click the Details button of the Format code dialog box.

Code
Short name
The short name is automatically generated by the system.
Check boxes
Format characteristics
Check one or several boxes to define the AS/400 characteristics of the format.
Refer to the corresponding IBM manual for further details on the IBM DDS keywords.
Lists
Clear last screen (CLRL)
Corresponds to the "CLRL" DDS keyword.
The list box displays the following values:
"None" |
The "CLRL" keyword will not be generated. |
"*NO" |
No line deletion. |
"*END" |
Complete deletion of the screen until the end of the format. |
"nn" |
Specifies the number of lines to be deleted from the first line of the format. |
Data entry
Erase formats (ERASE)
Corresponds to the "ERASE" DDS keyword.
The codes of the formats to be deleted can be specified when the new format is displayed.
Three formats maximum can be deleted simultaneously.
These formats must exist in the program.
Buttons
Message/parameter fields
This button opens a dialog box which is used to define a screen format's parameter and message fields.
Other parameters
This button opens a dialog box which is used to display, create or modify the other parameters.
Modify (validation)
This button validates the modifications made and closes the dialog box.
Cancel
This button closes the dialog box without validating the modifications made.
