Controls described below are performed during the overall verification of a graph (CDM, SSG, etc.). They involve graphical objects (created with the help of the tool palette) and semantic objects (created with the help of dialog boxes).

Controls performed globally at this level by the AS/400 version and those performed by the Adelia Studio version can be identified. Some are common, others are specific.

Example: In Adelia Studio, for an easier use and shorter response times, some inconsistencies are ignored during the graphical entry of a graph. Consequently, controls performed on an Adelia Studio graph are more numerous.

A rule is controlled at the graph level:

  • either because the rule involves several objects or several object types at the same time,

  • or because certain inconsistencies have been ignored when creating/modifying an object.

These rules are controlled for objects attached to the current application area. For data types and management rules, public or private objects attached to the current application area are verified.

Note: The software engineer cannot always correct certain errors as he may not have authorities on the incorrect object. Nevertheless, he can find out who the owner is through the Information dialog box of the corresponding object.
