The environment is the Adelia Studio base unit.
You must first create an environment which will then contain application areas, sessions, applications for which you will be able to call and use the Adelia Studio tools and features.
When building an environment, the logical sequence is as follows:
- The environment, software engineers and one or more application areas are created.
- An application area is opened (by creating work sessions within the area).
- The various models and objects which will together make up an application are created in the application area.
- The 4GL source code is generated, followed by the corresponding 3GL sources, transferring RPG sources to the AS/400 for compiling and use, or compiling in C for Windows ready for use.
At each stage of the process, Adelia's tools make your task easier.
