To display or modify the format codes of the screen lines selected in the format bar, click one of the formats on the format bar, or scan the formats to be defined. Click here for further details on the conditions for defining formats. The user can specify the format code from an existing format code, or create a new code. Length: 2 characters (letters, digits and the sign "*" only). The sign "*" is only used for formats of subfile type (SFL). Format codes of SFL type must include the sign "*" followed by a number (from 1 to 9). This button opens a dialog box which is used to display or modify the characteristics of a screen format (of a transaction or a transaction template) or the characteristics of a subfile format (of a transaction or a transaction template), depending on the format type. This button validates the selection of the format code and closes the dialog box. This code will apply to the selected lines or, according to the conditions for defining formats presented above, to the selected line as well as to the following lines.
