To place a graphical object in the layout and at the same time link it to a logical property of a logical entity, select the Place properties icon in the Graphical object palette.
You must use this type of positioning for any graphical objects whose VALUE property must be set with the contents of a file field (data flow).
Lists
Logical entities
Alphabetical list of all the logical entities in the repository. Each entity is identified by its name and description.
When a logical entity is selected, the logical property list is updated.
A filter located above the list can be used to restrict the number of logical entities displayed.
Single-selection list.
Logical properties
Alphabetical list of the logical properties of the selected logical entity. Each logical property is identified by its name and description.
Multiple-selection list.
Graphical objects
List of all the graphical objects in the repository. Each object is identified by its picture, name and description.
All the graphical objects with a VALUE property are prefixed with the letter V.
