Rapid Application Development is based on a number of Adelia Studio concepts.
You are advised to follow the recommendations given below:
LDM
The following characteristics of logical properties must be filled in correctly: description, column header, edit word or code, input options.
Management rules (prompt, initialization, validation, etc.) can be assigned to properties and to logical entities. Given that RAD development uses level-2 generation, these management rules are inserted in the program's source code.
The default logical server must be defined in the logical entities.
If a graphical object is defined for a logical property, the RAD wizard will suggest it by default for the representation of this logical property.
Graphical objects
Using personalized graphical objects (PGOs), especially those with source code, can be highly useful for RAD development. Indeed, these objects improve the graphical representation and the behavior of the objects without having to repeat the source code of the program built using the RAD wizard.
Moreover, using PGOs, with or without source code, is the only way of incorporating into the RAD development graphical objects with one or more possible values, such as:
radio buttons,
check boxes,
combo boxes that cannot be initialized by a DB reading.
RAD templates
By developing personalized RAD templates, programs that adhere to the graphic norms and functions of your choice can be obtained.
You are advised to run a check on the RAD template after modifying it.
