To configure the user role authentication parameters, use the Authentication option in the Administration manager main menu.
This window is used to configure the authentication mode for user roles associated with the software engineers.
- In Adelia authentication, user roles can be explicitly assigned to the software engineers.
- In Windows authentication, the roles of a software engineer are deduced from Windows groups. The user (system profile) can be authenticated in the application area or via groups local to a workstation or server.

Used to select Adelia or Windows authentication mode.
The field is enabled if the associated Inherit check box is not checked. If the associated Inherit check box is checked, the authentication mode is inherited from the Adeliws.ini file (AD_AUTH_MODE parameter) or configured to "Adelia" by default.
Entry field
Authentication server
Used to enter the name of the machine in which authentication will be carried out.
The field is enabled if the associated "Inherit" check box is not checked. If the associated "Inherit" check box is checked, the authentication server is inherited from the Adeliws.ini file (AD_LOGON_SERVER parameter) or inherited from the system parameters (by default, authentication is carried out on the application area controller - LOGONSERVER environment variable).
