The third window in the Installation program creation wizard lets you work with the shortcuts that will be used to run the application or uninstall procedure from the Start menu or the desktop, once the installation is completed.

 

Lists

Shortcuts

List of shortcuts that will be created when the package is installed on a workstation.

    • The first column is for the shortcut name.

    • The second column is for the program to be run when the user clicks the shortcut.

    • The third column specifies the shortcut type (an item in the Start menu, an icon on the desktop or both).

Context-sensitive menus

Add

This option opens a dialog box that lets you create a shortcut containing a list of the files in the installation (except the ".DLL", ".LIB", ".EXP", ".GID", and ".RPT" files).

In addition, for each executable file in the application, it also lets you create shortcuts for the "VerCtrl.exe" and "AdelLauncher.exe" files.

Reminder: the "VerCtrl.exe" and "AdelLauncher.exe" files take as a parameter (among others) an entry point in the application.

 

Modify

This option opens a dialog box that lets you modify the characteristics of the selected shortcuts (name and icon).

This option is only active when one or more shortcuts have been selected from the list.

 

Delete

This option removes the selected shortcuts from the list.

This option is only active when one or more shortcuts have been selected from the list.

Shortcut name, as it will appear in the Start menu.

Length: 50 characters maximum.

Multilingual

Checked

The installation program will be set to multilingual mode, so that the shortcuts are translated into several languages.

 

Buttons

Translate

This button opens a dialog box that lets you add or modify shortcut translations.

 

Back

This button returns you to the processes to run management window.

 

Next

This button displays the installation program setup window.

 

Cancel

This button cancels the operation and ends the program.

Keyboard shortcut: Esc.
