Sources directory

Name of the directory where the generated source files will be stored.

During the first generation procedure, the system suggests by default:

Name of the directory where the executable object will be stored.

Name of the executable object.

By default, the IBM program name entered when the program was created is proposed.

The RE, DE, UP and CR -class management rules class management rules are taken into account when the program is generated.

Default: standard choice made in the environment attributes.

Create object

The generated source will be compiled.

Default: box checked.

 

Delete sources

Checked

The generated source files are deleted once the object has been compiled.

Default: box checked.

 

Debug

Checked

The elements required to debug the generated program are retained. This means that the program can be debugged.

Default: standard choice made in the environment attributes.

 

Submit

Checked

The Generate button submits the generation job for the program.

This box is only active if the program generation was run from the 4GL Editor.

Default: box not checked.

 

Buttons

Characteristics

This button opens a dialog box which is used to specify the generation characteristics of a program.

 

Options

This button opens a dialog box which is used to display or modify the C compilation options for an interactive program.

 

Generate (validation)

This button validates the modifications made and starts the requested generation.

 

Cancel

This button closes the dialog box without validating the modifications made or starting the generation.

Keyboard shortcut: Esc.
