- Select the object(s) to duplicate.
- Choose the Copy option from the Edit menu (or its shortcut: Ctrl+Ins).
- Then, choose the Paste option from the Edit menu (or its shortcut: Shift+Ins).
If the object duplicated this way is a variable (user-defined variable, or variable from the repository), its name and short name are automatically changed by the system (two variables cannot have the same name or the same short name); after the name, the system adds the letter V followed by the sequence number of the duplicate.
If the length of the name or of the short name requires it, the necessary characters will be truncated for the name to match the limit length after the modification.
For the block or line selection modes, the block or lines selected are duplicated in the same way.
