Access

To open this page, click the General tab in the Graphical Attributes for an Environment dialog box.

 

Important: Only administrators can change the information in this dialog box.

 

This page is used to specify window margins, define the button closing the dialog boxes, indicate the key used to activate the on-line help, and determine the size of the Help and Enter buttons.

 

Margins

Data entry

Horizontal/vertical

Width and height of the margins separating each transaction from the borders of the window containing it.

Enter the margins directly or scroll through the existing values using the arrow buttons until the desired margins are displayed.

The unit used is a quarter of a character.

 

Close

Lists

Key

Key which will be intercepted in all the applications generated in C language. This key will close the applications.

 

Help

Lists

Main key

Key which will be intercepted in all the applications generated in C language. Possibly associated with Ctrl or Alt, this key will display the transactional help for these applications.

 

Radio buttons

Additional key

The main key can be associated either to Ctrl or Alt.

It is also possible to use only the main key (select None).

 

Button generation

Check boxes

Transaction function keys can be generated graphically (as push-buttons) in C programs. This defines the function keys' graphical characteristics as well as those used for the Help and Enter keys.

 

Help

Check this box to display the Help key graphically.

 

Enter

Check this box to display the Enter key graphically.

 

Data entry

Minim. size

Minimum size of the generated buttons, in number of characters.

Indicate the size directly or scroll through the existing sizes using the arrow buttons until the size you want is displayed.

 

Increment

Number of characters separating the generated function keys.

Enter the increment value directly or scroll through the existing increment values using the arrow buttons.

Undo

This button cancels the modifications made and restores the application to its previous state.

 

Default

This button cancels the modifications made and restores the application to the state it had when the environment was created.

 

Note: A click on the icon situated on the upper left-hand corner of the dialog box closes the box (keyboard shortcut: Alt+F4). If modifications were made, a confirmation screen appears.
