Access
To open the screen/report layout manager in order to design and modify the screens or reports for the program in the active window, you must either:
Select the Layout manager option in the 4GL Editor's Program menu.
Select either the Layout manager context-sensitive menu option or button in one of the following tabs or dialog boxes in the Object manager:
The list shown in the dialog box will vary, depending on the program type:
Transaction list with interactive ADELIA programs.
Report list with batch ADELIA and VADELIA programs.

Transactions/Reports
List of the transactions or reports, depending on the type of document in the active window.
Single-selection list.
You can sort the list in ascending or descending order of the values in a column by clicking the corresponding column heading.
Buttons
Layout manager (validation)
With an interactive program: this button will open the Screen layout manager for the transaction selected from the list.
With an ADELIA batch program: this button will open the Report layout manager for the report selected from the list.
With a VADELIA batch program: this button will open either:
- the Report layout manager for the report of Adelia kind selected from the list,
- the Crystal Reports Designer for the report of Crystal Reports kind selected from the list. In this case, a second intermediate dialog box is displayed, to select the fields to be used in the chosen report.
Hold
This button opens a dialog box enabling the selected report to be held by the default correction.
This button is only visible in correction environments and with batch programs.
It is only active if one report is selected in the list and the user has a default correction.
Cancel
Closes the dialog box.
