To display or modify the format codes of the report lines selected in the format bar, click one of the "format buttons", or scan the "format buttons" to be defined.
This dialog box is also used to add or delete lines, when required.

Data entry
Code
The user can specify the format code from an existing code, or create a new code.
Length: 2 characters (letters and digits only).
Note: The "TA" format is forbidden, because the DDS name would then be "SORTA", which is an IBM reserved word.
Buttons
Details
This button opens a dialog box which is used to display or modify the characteristics of a report format.
Add
This button opens a dialog box which is used to add lines of a specific format.
Delete
This button deletes the selected lines after a confirmation request.
If the deleted lines include objects, these are also deleted.
Modify (validation)
This button validates the selection of the format code and closes the dialog box.
This code will apply to the selected lines or, according to the example presented above (in italics), to the selected line as well as to the following lines.
Cancel
This button closes the dialog box without validating the modifications made.
