New cross-references

It is now possible to use the maintenance manager to list the programs that call a particular program, or use a particular error message, dictionary constant, user function or Web service.

Important: these new cross-references are only supported for programs generated using Adelia Studio 11 with PTF 02.

Note that you can now also use the maintenance manager to locate the cases where particular management rules are used.

Middleware server clusters

It is now possible to define physical middleware server clusters in the client middleware configuration, and associate them with a logical server. This makes it possible to balance the server load across multiple physical servers and/or define backup physical servers to take over processing in the event of loss of the main physical servers.

Ajax progress bar

It is now possible, when defining an Ajax event (for an Adelia Web graphic component or a pseudo-object), to hide the progress bar that is normally displayed while an Ajax event is being processed. This can be useful, in particular, when handling periodically-triggered events.

Adelia iSeries programs and record blocks

It is now possible to specify the management control mode that a program must use for each of the record blocks in a file (support for the BLOCK RPG keyword in F cards).

This management mode is specified in an ADELIA program's generation characteristics dialog box.

You can also configure the block management mode in the DEFINE_VIEW instruction.

Object versions in a version manager

While working in any environment in a version manager, you can now view an object's versions in all the environments in the version manager. This lets you identify any environments where the object is present in a version other than that of the reference environment.

This option is accessible from the "Version" tab in the dialog box that displays the object's information.

Moreover, the object's Information dialog box can also be accessed from the Result (1 and 2) and Storage tabs in the maintenance manager and the multisource search.
