Access
The details below are displayed when an Oracle (7 or 8) database has been selected in the Database manager list of the Save a database window in the Database management tool.
Note: The window is identical for Oracle 7 and Oracle 8 databases.
Important: We recommend only using the backup tool with databases created using the Database management tool.
If the database was created using the Database management tool, its directory will be displayed for information.

Database manager
Browse through the list and select the database manager used to work with the environment.
Lists
Database
Name of the database to be saved.
Mandatory selection.
Data entry
Directory
Directory in which the backup image is to be saved.
This directory must be local on the server.
Enter the full path or click the "..." button to display a Windows system dialog box that lets you select a directory.
Mandatory entry.
Init file
The initialization file is the Oracle database's parameter file.
Enter the full path or click the "..." button to display a Windows system dialog box that lets you select a file.
If the database was created using the Management wizard, this field will be completed automatically.
Mandatory entry.
Password
Password of the database's Internal user.
Mandatory entry.
Check boxes
Immediate database shutdown
Check this box if you want to forcibly disconnect any active sessions using the database.
