- Select the object(s) to be duplicated.
- Choose the Copy option from the Edit menu (or use its keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+Ins).
- Then, choose the Paste option from the Edit menu (or use its keyboard shortcut: Shift+Ins).
If the object duplicated this way is a variable (user-defined variable, or variable from the repository), its name and short name are automatically changed by the system (two variables cannot have the same name or the same short name): the system adds the letter V followed by the sequence number of the duplicate at the end of the name.
If the length of the name or of the short name requires it, the necessary characters will be truncated for the name to match the limit length after the modification.
