Access
  • Call from the Environment attributes dialog box:
    this page is used to define the PC references required for the MySQL PDM generation, for public objects.

  • Call from the Modify the logical level information dialog box:
    this page is used to define the PC references required for the MySQL PDM generation, for private (application area level) objects.

Middleware parameters

The Middleware server can be a Windows or Java server. For a Java server, the JDBC driver used is that specified in the "driver_mysql" key in the apiva.properties file located on the server. The name of the database must be a jdbc URL (jdbc:mysql:...).

 

Data entry

IP host name

IP address of the Windows or Java server on which the SQL tables will be created.

 

IP port

Listening port used by the Adelia daemon running on the server (generally port 910 for Windows, or 3500 for Java).

 

User

Adelia Middleware profile used for connection (usually HARDISPS).

 

Password

Password associated to the user (usually HARDISPS).

Confirmation

Second password entry in order to confirm the previous one.

Inherit the parameters

Checked box

The fields in the "Middleware parameters" section are automatically initialized with the values indicated in the "Compilation machine for server programs and PC databases" parameters in the ADELIWS.INI file.

 

These fields will then become non modifiable.

 

Buttons

Opens a dialog box showing the Windows or Java servers detected on the network. This dialog box enables you to select a server and to check the connection parameters.

 

Database

Data entry

Database name

Name of the database.

This database must have been created beforehand using MySQL tools.

 

User

Profile used to connect to the database.

This field is active only when the Enter the connection user profile radio button is checked.

 

Password

Password associated to the user.

This field is active only when the Enter the connection user profile radio button is checked.

Invisible data.

 

Confirmation

Second password entry in order to confirm the previous one.

This field is active only when the Enter the connection user profile radio button is checked.

Invisible data.

 

Check boxes

Inherit

Checked box

For each field concerned it is the value specified in the environment attributes which is taken into account.

 

The related field appears dimmed and cannot be modified anymore.

 

Note: This box is visible only if the page was called from the Modify the logical level information dialog box (call from an application area, and not from the environment).

 

Radio buttons

Use the Middleware connection profile

The profile used for connecting to the database is that specified in the "Middleware parameters" topic above.

 

Use the environment connection profile

The profile used for the database connection is that specified in the environment.

 

Enter the connection user profile

The profile used for connecting to the database is that specified in the related user field. If this button is checked, the fields beneath are activated.

 

Buttons

Undo

This button cancels the modifications made and restores the application to its previous state.

 

Default

This button cancels the modifications made and restores the application to the state it had when the environment was created.

 

Note: A click on the icon situated on the upper right-hand corner of the dialog box closes the box (keyboard shortcut: Alt+F4). If modifications were made, a confirmation screen appears.

 

Validate

Used to test the validity of the data entered. The wizard initiates a connection with the specified server and database.
