Eleven types of environment can be identified from these icons:

 

local environments,

 

remote environments (which are not physically present on the workstation),

 

local production environments,

 

remote production environments,

 

local correction environments,

 

remote correction environments,

 

local development environments,

 

remote development environments,

 

local buffers,

 

remote buffers (which are not physically present on the workstation),

buffers or environments which have not been defined as being local or remote.
Select the Information option from their context-sensitive menu to recognize them.

 

Buffers are specific environments which are used to transfer models or objects to or from other environments.
