A version manager lets you work with the various steps in an Adelia object's evolution (modification, testing, in production, renewed development, etc.).
A version manager is a series of environments: one production environment, one correction environment, and possibly one or more development environments.
The objects in the version manager can be modified as follows:
In the correction environment, objects are updated under the control of the correction manager; an object can only be modified if it is held by a correction. If a modified object held for correction is removed from its correction (i.e. the hold for correction instruction is cancelled), the object version in the production environment will be received into the correction environment (return to the production version).
In the production environment, objects are only updated using the correction validation process.
In development environments, objects can either be updated by the correction validation process, or via the interface in the usual way, as in an ordinary environment.
