Use
Use
This reserved word can only be used in a CANCEL or SAVE block. It cannot be changed by the programmer and should be used jointly with the reserved word *OBJ_ORIGIN.
In the CANCEL block execution context, its value is the name of the last Adelia event executed that the user wishes to cancel.
In the SAVE block execution context, its value is the name of the Adelia event that has just been executed.
For example
If the user triggered an event by clicking on an Adelia Button object during the execution of the CANCEL block (by clicking on the browser's Previous button), the value of *EVT_ORIGIN is the alphanumeric string "ONCLICK".
Special cases
- *EVT_ORIGIN has the value of reserved word *P_SFTKY when the SFTKY button created using the SFTKY order is clicked.
- *EVT_ORIGIN value is "EVT" during the processing of an event associated with a pseudo object,
- In the SAVE block, the *EVT_ORIGIN value is the value of the reserved word *P_PROCESS when the Web page is executed via the PROCESS instruction,
- In the SAVE block, the *EVT_ORIGIN value is the value of the reserved word *P_BACK when executing the page's RETURN paragraph.
