Access

To display the programs which use a graphical object, select the Analyze option in the context-sensitive menu (or the equivalent button) in the Graphical objects tab of the Object manager.

 

Check boxes

Object

Checked

The list is sorted first by the object type (RAT for RAD template, then PGM for program), then according to the secondary sort criterion selected.

Not checked

The list is sorted directly using the secondary sort criterion selected.

 

 

Radio buttons

Sort criteria

Secondary sort criterion.

The list can be sorted by object name or by application area.

 

Lists

Objects

List of all the objects (RAD templates and programs) which use the current graphical object. The following information is displayed: object type (RAT or PGM), name, type (for programs only), description and an application area to which it is attached.

Buttons

Detail

This button is used to access the 4GL Source editor for the selected RAD templates and programs.

This button will only be active if one or more objects have been selected from the list.

This button is only shown if the object is a personalized graphical object.

 

Apply

Opens a dialog box that lets you display all the changes to the personalized graphical object that are to be reproduced in the selected RAD templates and programs.

This option will only be active if one or more objects have been selected from the list.

This button is only shown if the object is a personalized graphical object.

 

Generate

Opens a dialog box that lets you select the generation language and platform for the selected programs.

This option will only be active if one or more programs have been selected from the list. It is not active if at least one RAD template is selected.

This button is only shown if the object is a personalized graphical object.

 

Enter

This button closes the dialog box.

Keyboard shortcut: Esc.

 

Print list

This button prints all the objects in the list.
