The second window in the Installation program creation wizard (Java or Cloud variant) contains all the options that affect the installation program. You can use this window to customize the creation process.

 

Data entry

Destination directory

Path leading to the directory where the JAR or WAR file containing the classes of the generated programs will be copied.

Default setting: "C:\Product name".

Mandatory field.

 

JAR or WAR file name

This field is used to specify the name of the JAR or WAR file that will be generated.

Default setting: "Product name.jar" or "Product name.war" (depending on the installation type).

Mandatory field.

 

Check boxes

Integrate programs into a JAR file

Checked

All the classes linked to programs will be included in a .jar file which will be placed in the WEB-INF\lib directory of the web application.

Unchecked

All the classes linked to programs will be placed directly in the WEB-INF\classes directory of the web application.

Note: This check box is available when installing Adelia Web programs with client variant or Visual Adelia programs with Cloud client variant.

 

Java Web Start®

Checked

In this case, the installation manager creates a .jnlp file in addition to the JAR file, so that the application can run with Java Web Start®.

When you check this box, the related Configure button is enabled, letting you open the Java Web Start® component's configuration box.

 

Note: For Visual Adelia client installations with JAVA variants, the options required to create JNLP files are available.

 

Buttons

Browse

This button opens a Windows system dialog box that lets you choose the directory for the relevant field.

 

Back

This button returns you to the installation file management window.

 

Create/Modify

This button (displayed as Create the first time the box is opened, and as Modify whenever it is reopened) lets you save the variant's characteristics and return to the installation variant management box.

 

Produce (validation)

This button validates the data entered and generates the JAR file (and JNLP or WAR file where applicable).

The various details in the box are checked. If all are valid, the file creation process is run; if not, an error message is displayed.

When this process has finished running, the installation variant management box is displayed again.

 

Cancel

This button cancels the operation and ends the program.

Keyboard shortcut: Esc.
