Lists

Reference template

In creation mode, it is the basic or personalized RAD template from which the class, the source code and the layouts will be copied to create the new personalized RAD template.

Mandatory field.

By default, template selected in the RAD templates list.

In modification mode, it is the basic RAD template corresponding to the RAD template class. This information cannot be modified.

Deletion mode

Defines the interface behavior when an element is deleted from a list. The possible values are:

    • Deletion with confirmation list: deleting prompts the user to confirm, presenting the list with the selected elements.

    • Deletion with confirmation message: deleting opens a confirmation window for each selected element.

    • Deletion without confirmation: the elements are instantly deleted.

This information is only available for a RAD template with a list enabling to delete an element. Classes that correspond to this criteria are: Double List, Header and List, List and details, Management list and Update list.

Mandatory entry.

Class

RAD template class. It is determined by the reference template that was used to create the personalized RAD template.

Radio buttons

Visibility

The visibility of a RAD template can be either public or private. Only the owner of the RAD template, or a software engineer with modification authorities, can change the visibility.

A public RAD template cannot be changed into a private RAD template if it is attached to more than one application area.

In creation mode, the visibility is by default set to private if no template is selected; otherwise it is the same as the visibility of the selected template.

Buttons

Information

This button opens a dialog box displaying information on the current RAD template, such as the name of the software engineer-owner, the dates and times of creation and modification.

Comments

This button opens a dialog box for entering a comment text which will be associated with the current RAD template.

"List" page

This page is visible only when the template has a list.

Radio buttons

Load mode

Load mode for the lists in the RAD template. The possible values are: static or dynamic.

When the load mode is dynamic, the load step is automatically calculated during the RAD development from the list height: it corresponds to the number of elements completely visible in the list.

In creation mode, the load mode is that of the reference template. Note that changing the reference template will modify the load mode.

The explanation of the buttons given below applies to the whole dialog box, irrespective of the current page.

Buttons

Create or Modify

This button validates the dialog box.

The various fields of the dialog box are verified. If all are valid, the graphical object definition is updated in the database before the box is closed; otherwise, an error message is displayed.

Cancel

This button closes the dialog box without validating the choices made.

Keyboard shortcut: Esc.
