Error list available
Consult the compilation list and diagnose the problem according to the errors defined by IBM.
For example:
Logical file with unique key though the data existing in the physical file does not correspond to this condition. The logical file will be created but without members. Therefore it cannot be used by the programs.
If this type of error occurs, a message is sent telling that an error was detected while the file was generated.Reference file or Field Reference File not present:
The library list of the JOBD does not contain the library in which the reference file or field reference file is.Field Reference File field non-existent:
After modifying the data dictionary, the Field Reference File has not been regenerated.
Error list NOT available
This situation can occur when the file is compiled with the "Save data" option activated and the backup file already exists in the backup library (HS#QTEMP by default). The program halts immediately and a message is sent informing you that the backup file already exists.
In fact, this certainly means that when the file was created the last time the process terminated abnormally and that it may be possible to retrieve the data in the backup file.
