Access

To modify the use of management rules assigned to a variable or to a hidden field, click the Management rules button of one of the following dialog boxes:

 

The dialog box displays, for the selected variable, the list of management rules attached to the current application area. The corresponding button is only active when the variable comes from the Logical Data Model (LDM).

  • The rules displayed in this list comply with the following conditions:

    • they are attached to the current application area, irrespective of whether they are public or private;
    • they belong to one of the following classes: CA, CT, SK, PR, VP or IP;
    • they are either assigned:
      • to the data type (if it exists) of the conceptual property of the logical property;
      • to the original conceptual property of the logical property if the latter is of conceptual origin;
      • to the logical property.
  • A rule is only displayed once.
  • The rules are displayed in the following sequence:
      • rules assigned to the data type,
      • rules assigned to the conceptual property,
      • rules assigned to the logical property.
  • The rules of CT class are not displayed if the field processed is an output or a hidden field.
  • The rules of PR class are not displayed if the field processed is an input, an output or a hidden field.
  • The rules of SK class are not displayed if the field processed is a hidden field.

Lists

Management rules

List of all the management rules complying with the conditions listed above. For each rule, the name and the description are specified.

In the first column, if a management rule is used, it is "checked" and appears in red.

By default, all the listed management rules are used. Just click the management rules which will not be used: thus, they are "unchecked" and are dimmed in the list.

 

Buttons

Modify (validation)

This button validates the modifications made and closes the dialog box.

 

Cancel

This button closes the dialog box without validating the modifications made.

Keyboard shortcut: Esc.
