Access

To display or modify the graphical attributes of a transaction or of a transaction template, you must either:

  • Choose the Graphical attributes option from the Transaction menu of the Screen Layout Manager.

  • Choose the Graphical attributes option from the Transaction template menu of the Screen Layout Manager.

This dialog box is used to add graphical features to a transaction or to a transaction template for PC generation.

Lists

Key (close)

The list box is used to specify which key will be used to close the transaction or transaction template. The "Default" option means that the key defined at the system level will be taken into account.

Function keys

List of function keys with their associated descriptions. When a function key is selected, its number and description are displayed in the fields located above the list. The key's description can then be modified.

Single-selection list.

Data entry

Nbr of lines (buttons)

Number of lines used at the end of the transaction or transaction template to generate function keys under graphical form (push-buttons).

Enter directly the number of lines, or scroll through the existing values using the arrow buttons.

Begin/End (lines to hide)

Lines in which all fields will be deleted in order to allow the generation of function keys under graphical form. The "Begin" and "End" fields are protected when the None box is checked.

Enter directly in the "Begin" and "End" fields the numbers of the lines which mark the block in which fields will be deleted, or scroll through the existing values using the arrow buttons and select the desired number.

Button

This is used to change the description of the function key selected in the list.

This field is protected if the Dflt box is checked.

Description array

Guide word for the one-dimension array (26 elements) declared in the Adelia program's data environment and used for the dynamic definition of the function key descriptions.

The array's 24 first elements correspond to the 24 function keys. The 25th element corresponds to the Enter key and the 26th element to the Help key.

The elements are alphanumeric. The user defines the length of the array's elements according to the maximum size of the descriptions used.

Example:

DYN_BTN_ARR(3) = 'Exit'

DYN_BTN_ARR(4) = 'Prompt'

DYN_BTN_ARR(25) = 'Enter'

DYN_BTN_ARR(26) = 'Help'

Check boxes

None (lines to hide)

This check box is associated with line deletion. When it is checked, the "Begin" and "End" fields are protected and the values they contain are not taken into account. Therefore, no field will be deleted during generation.

Dflt (default)

Check this box to associate the description defined in the environment's graphical attributes with the key selected in the list.

If this box is checked, it will not be possible to customize the description of the key selected in the list.

Buttons

This button validates the modification of the function key's description.

It is only active when a key is selected in the list.

Modify (validation)
