The development environment is created on the basis of the production environment. Initially, it contains the same object versions as the production environment.
You work in the same way as in a simple environment. The only difference is that certain objects can be updated using the correction validation process.
We can assume that a development environment contains the version of each object that will be used in the upcoming product version (with respect to the production environment).
You can create several development environments from the same production environment. This can be useful if you need to develop several specific versions of the same product (with the majority of objects common to all versions, but with some specific objects). In this case, the common part is maintained by the correction validation process (the same corrections as the standard product), and the specific part is developed directly in the development environment.
