To access the Document Editor, click a Technical Doc. or User Doc. button or option.
The Document Editor window allows you to enter or modify the text in a user documentation, or even display a report.
Menus and menu options in the Document Editor:
The Document Editor has four menus:
the Document menu,
the Edit menu,
the Options menu,
the Help menu.
DOCUMENT menu
Save
This option saves the text contained in the work space.
Export
This option opens a Windows system dialog box which is used to save the comment text under a new name.
Printer setup
This option opens a Windows system dialog box which is used to select and configure the printer.
Print the document
The text contained in the work space is printed in interactive mode.
Exit
This option closes the Document Editor.
Keyboard shortcut: Alt+F4.
EDIT menu
Undo modify
This option cancels the last modification made.
Cut
This option removes from the screen the selected text and keeps it available in the clipboard. It can be placed again later with the Paste option.
This option is not active when no text is selected.
Keyboard shortcut: Shift+Del.
Copy
This option does not remove the selected text from the screen, but copies it in the clipboard. It can be placed again later with the Paste option.
This option is not active when no text is selected.
Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+Ins.
Paste
This option re-places on the screen the text placed in the clipboard by the Cut or Copy option.
This option is not active when the clipboard is empty.
Keyboard shortcut: Shift+Ins.
Delete
This option deletes the selected text.
Search
This option opens a dialog box which is used to specify a character string to be searched, possibly the character string replacing it and the way search or replacement is to be carried out.
Search forward
This option runs the search function which scans the text from the cursor to the end of the document.
This function uses the Search/Replace dialog box entries.
Search backward
This option runs the search function which scans the text from the cursor to the beginning of the document.
This function uses the Search/Replace dialog box entries.
OPTIONS menu
Font
This option opens a Windows system dialog box which is used to make a selection among the various character fonts provided by Windows.
Colors
This option opens a dialog box which is used to choose the background and text colors.
