To display, create, copy or modify the general characteristics of a page layout in the current application area, select the corresponding option in the context-sensitive menu (or the equivalent button) in the Page layouts tab of the Object manager.
Data entry
Name
Name of the page layout.
This name must be a valid page layout name (as defined by IBM), unique in the environment.
Length: 15 characters maximum.
Mandatory entry.
Description
Description clearly identifying the page layout.
Length: 250 characters maximum.

Radio buttons
Visibility
The visibility of a page layout can be either public or private. Only the owner of the page layout, or a software engineer with modification authorities, can change the visibility.
A public page layout cannot be changed into a private page layout if it is attached to more than one application area.
In creation mode, the visibility is by default set to public.
Lists
Note: The last filters used for a particular part (respectively, a given resource) can be accessed via the right mouse button. Selecting one of these filters loads the combo box with the programs (respectively, resources) corresponding to this filter. To select a new filter, enter the chosen filter directly in the combo box input field, and then press Enter to start loading the combo box with the programs (respectively, resources) corresponding to this filter.
Default filter values:
[ ] No program (respectively, resources).
* All programs (respectively, resources).
Left-hand section
Program selected for the left-hand part of the page. If the page layout does not manage the left-hand section, indicate the value "None".
The combo box shows, in alphabetical order, all the WADELIA interactive programs (according to the filter shown) attached to the same application area as the page layout.
Right-hand section
Program selected for the right-hand part of the page. If the page layout does not manage the right-hand section, indicate the value "None".
The combo box shows, in alphabetical order, all the WADELIA interactive programs (according to the filter shown) attached to the same application area as the page layout.
Header
Program selected for the top of the page. If the page layout does not manage the top section, indicate the value "None".
The combo box shows, in alphabetical order, all the WADELIA interactive programs (according to the filter shown) attached to the same application area as the page layout.
Footer
Program selected for the bottom of the page. If the page layout does not manage the bottom section, indicate the value "None".
The combo box shows, in alphabetical order, all the WADELIA interactive programs (according to the filter shown) attached to the same application area as the page layout.
Resource - Stylesheet
Name of the stylesheet associated with the page layout.
The combo box shows, in alphabetical order, all the resources attached to the same application area as the page layout.
Check boxes
Include top-left corner
The top-left corner will be included in the header.
Include top-right corner
The top-right corner will be included in the header.
Include bottom-left corner
The bottom-left corner will be included in the footer.
Include bottom-right corner
The bottom-right corner will be included in the footer.
Buttons
Detail
Lets you access the box managing the attribute details for each part of the page layout.
Display / Assign
Opens a dialog box displaying the list of management rules assigned to the page layout, along with the list of available management rules that can be assigned to it.
Sequence
This button opens a dialog box displaying the list of management rules assigned to the page layout, in order to resequence this list by modifying the sequence numbers of the listed management rules.
This button is not active in display mode.
Information
This button opens a dialog box displaying information on the current page layout, such as the name of the software engineer-owner, the dates and times of creation and modification.
Comments
This button opens a dialog box for entering a comment text which will be associated with the current page layout.
Enter/Create/Modify (validation)
The Enter button (in display mode) closes the dialog box.
The Create button (in creation mode) or Modify button (in modification mode) validates the dialog box.
The various fields of the dialog box are verified. If all are valid, the page layout definition is updated in the database before the box is closed; otherwise, an error message is displayed.
Cancel
This button closes the dialog box without validating the choices made.
