To work with the RAD templates in the current application area, select the RAD templates option in the 4GL Editor's Repository menu.
The dialog box will automatically be opened at the RAT tab.
Note: You can minimize the dialog box by double-clicking on the title bar, which will leave only the title bar visible.
Lists
RAD templates
List of the RAD templates in the current application area, with their name, description and type: BRT for Basic RAD Template, and PRT for Personalized RAD Template.
Extended-selection list.
You can sort the list in ascending or descending order of the values in a column by clicking the corresponding column heading.
Note: With correction environments, there may be a check mark in front of each RAD template name.
- A red check mark indicates that the RAD template is held by the default correction.
- A black check mark indicates that the RAD template is held by a correction other than the default correction.
Context-sensitive menus
Note: if a source code repository is configured for the environment or for the current user, the list is enriched with a graphic indication of the synchronization state, and the menu shows additional options.

Create PRT
Opens a dialog box that lets you create a personalized RAD template (PRT).
If one or more templates are selected in the list, they will set the data in the dialog box.
Modify
Opens a dialog box which is used to display the general characteristics of a basic RAD template (basic RAD templates cannot be modified) or to modify personalized RAD templates.
This option is not active when no RAD template is selected in the list.
Delete
After confirmation, this option deletes the selected personalized RAD templaes (basic RAD templates cannot be deleted).
When the deletion is validated, the list of RAD templates is updated accordingly.
This option is not active when no RAD template is selected in the list.
Individual comparison
Opens the Individual comparison dialog box for every selected RAD template.
This dialog box is used to run the source comparison for the selected RAD template with another template (from either the same or a different environment).
Global comparison
Opens the Global comparison dialog box used to run the source comparison for an object list between the current environment and another.
The list of objects to be compared is initialized with selected RAD templates.
Open source
Opens a separate window for each RAD template selected: each window will contain the source for one of the selected RAD templates.
This option is only active if one or more RAD templates are selected from the list.
Hold
Opens a dialog box enabling the selected RAD templates to be held by the default correction.
This option is only visible in correction environments. It is only active if one or more RAD templates are selected in the list and the user has a default correction.
