Access
To copy a conceptual property, click the Copy button in the Repository - Properties dialog box.
Data entry
Name
Property name.
This name must be a valid property name (as defined by IBM), and unique among the property names in the environment.
Length: 15 characters maximum.
Mandatory entry.
Description
Description clearly identifying the conceptual property.
Length: 50 characters maximum.
Short name
This name must be a valid short name (as defined by IBM), and unique among the short names of the conceptual properties in the environment.
Length: 10 characters maximum.
Optional entry.
Buttons
Copy (validation)
This button validates the dialog box.
The various details in the box are checked. If all are valid, a new property is created using the data entered and the original property, except for its assignment to the entity or relationship and any virtual property details. If not, an error message is displayed.
The new property is only assigned to the application area in which the copy operation was performed.
Cancel
Closes the dialog box without copying the conceptual property.
