To manually migrate the text used in the translation manager to Unicode, you must run the command: GTMIG0 <EnvironmentName> MIGRATE.
You will automatically be prompted to migrate to Unicode when upgrading an environment from a version earlier than v11.

With effect from version 11 of Adelia Studio, the translation manager's data is stored in Unicode. In addition, the translation manager operates exclusively in Unicode, making it possible to display all the supported languages on the same workstation.

This means that any texts translated with earlier versions must be converted to Unicode. When an environment's version is upgraded, the user is automatically prompted to perform this conversion using the GTMIG0 utility.

This migration procedure can be performed afterwards, but generation in multilingual mode will only be supported for Unicode languages.

The workstation MUST use a code page compatible with the database - it must be a "standard" development workstation, rather than one that has been "customized" to produce translations in a language not supported by the previous version (e.g. by installing a special code page or modifying DB2CODEPAGE).

The command may be run manually by an administrator engineer or by a software engineer with the *ADM_TRAN authority.

The syntax is:

C:\> GTMIG0 <EnvironmentName> MIGRATE

The migration procedure uses the code page associated with the Windows language. If this language is incorrect or unspecified (or if special circumstances make it necessary), you can force another Windows language during the migration process. It is also possible to rerun the utility in the event of an error. However, once the language has been converted, it is no longer possible to run its conversion again.

The reference table below is taken from a Windows XP computer with the additional options installed. Languages for which the code page is not specified are not supported in non-Unicode mode (and cannot be converted).
