Access
To display or modify the general characteristics of a format, click the Details button of the Modify a format code dialog box.
Displayed data
Code
Format code.
Short name
If the format code is "XX", then the short name created by the system is "SORXX". It cannot be modified.
Data entry
Name
Default: short name.
Skip before
Actual number, in the page, of the line from which the format must be printed (positioning on line nn, then printing of the format).
This number is used for header or footer formats.
Skip after
Actual number, in the page, of the line to which the cursor will be moved after printing the format (printing of the format, then positioning on line nn).
This number is used for header or footer formats.
Space before
Space after
Number of empty lines which will be inserted before/after the printing of the format.

The generated format allows you to use the Advanced Function Printing (AFP). Specify "DEVTYPE(*AFPDS)" in the compilation parameters and check that the printer supports this printing mode. |

Buttons
Parameter fields
This button opens a dialog box which is used to define the parameter fields of a report.
Other parameters
This button opens a dialog box which is used to display, create or modify the other parameters.
Modify (validation)
This button validates the modifications made on the format and closes the dialog box.
Cancel
This button closes the dialog box without validating the modifications made on the format.
