Access

To open this page, click on the Presentation tab in the Options of the Editor dialog box.


This tab is used to modify the presentation characteristics that are common to the various types of document handled by the 4GL Editor.


Lists

Font

Consult the list and select the character font that is to be used to display the text in the source.

Default setting: "Courier".


Script

Consult the list and select the font script to be used to display the text in the source.


Size

Consult the list and select the size of character font that is to be used to display the text in the source.

Default setting: "12".


Contexts for choosing text and color attributes

Select the definition context for text, text color and background color attributes.


"Text"

For the text in the source while displayed normally,

"Selection"

For blocks of text selected in the source,

"Information"

For maintenance details.

Default setting: "Text".

Note: Text attributes (bold, italics, ...) are only available for standard system fonts (Consolas, Courier, Courier New, FixedSys and Lucida Sans Typewriter).


Foreground

After choosing a context, select the text color from the list.

Default setting: "System".


Background

After choosing a context, select the text background color from the list.

Default setting: "System".


Check boxes

Bold

Displays the text in bold in the selected context. By default, checked for keywords, reserved words, predefined functions, question-answer instructions and adeliaDoc annotations.


Italics

Displays the text in italics in the selected context. By default, box is unchecked.


Strikethrough

Displays the text with strikethrough in the selected context. By default, box is unchecked.


Underlined

Displays the text underlined in the selected context. By default, box is unchecked.


Displayed data

Example

This lets you view the result of your choices (font, size and color), applied to an example text.


Buttons

Default

Resets all the lists with their default settings.


OK

Validates the choices made and closes the dialog box.


Cancel

Closes the dialog box without validating the choices made.

Keyboard shortcut: Esc.
