To open this page, click the Adelia reports tab in the Interface configurator dialog box of the Visual/Web Runtime.

 

Data entry

Directory for spool files

Path and name of the destination directory in which print files are to be created and stored.

 

Check boxes

Immediate printing

Checked

Once created, the print file will be printed automatically.

Not checked

The print file will not be printed automatically.

 

Delete spool files after printing

Checked

The print file will be erased automatically after it has been printed.

Not checked

The print file will not be erased after it has been printed.

 

Raw

Checked

RAW mode is enabled. This mode is useful for barcode printers.

With this type of printing, spool files (.spo format) are sent to the printer in unprocessed, or raw, form.

 

Lists

Encoding for programs written in ANSI

Select the spool file output encoding produced by a program written in ANSI from the list. The available encoding is: Ansi, Ascii, UTF-8, UTF-16(LE), UTF-16(BE), UTF-32(LE) and UTF-32(BE).

The default encoding is Ansi.

All spool files produced with encoding other than Ansi and Ascii integrate the BOM (Byte Order Mark) inherent to the chosen encoding.

Note:

(LE): Little Endian

(BE): Big Endian

 

Encoding for programs written in UNICODE

Select the spool file output encoding produced by a program written in UNICODE from the list. The available encoding is: Ansi, Ascii, UTF-8, UTF-16(LE), UTF-16(BE), UTF-32(LE) and UTF-32(BE).

The default encoding is UTF-8.

All spool files produced with encoding other than Ansi and Ascii integrate the BOM (Byte Order Mark) inherent to the chosen encoding.

Printer number

In the list, select the number of the printer to which the Name, Font and Orientation parameters apply.

The system can manage up to 9 printers.

 

Name

Select the name of the printer from the list.

 

Font

First list: select the name of the font that is to be used.

Second list: select the font size that is to be used.

 

Size

Select the size of paper to be used from the list.

 

Source

Consult the list and select the printer's paper feed source (feeder tray, manual feed, etc.).

 

Radio buttons

Orientation

Used to set the orientation on the page of the report's contents when it is printed: portrait or landscape.

 

Duplex

These radio buttons are used to control whether documents are printed on both sides or one side only.

Possible options:

- None

Single-sided printing only.

- Long side

Duplex printing relative to the sheet's long side.

- Short side

Duplex printing relative to the sheet's short side.

 

Raw

Possible options:

Raw data

The print file is sent to the printer as it is.

Ascii conversion beforehand

The print file is always converted into Ascii before being sent to the printer.

 

Notes:

The Raw group fields are greyed out if the Raw check box is not checked.

 

The fields in the Details group will be shaded if no printer has been selected.

When you select a printer, some fields may remain shaded, indicating that the selected printer does not support the shaded feature(s).

 

The following radio buttons are only visible in an Adelia Cloud context:

 

System date [Adelia Cloud]

Displays the system date year in 2 or 4 digits.

 

Default print mode [Adelia Cloud]

Used to choose a default print mode for Adelia reports in an Adelia Cloud context.

Possible options:

Print

The print file is sent to the print server to be printed.

Preview

The print file is sent to be displayed in the browser.

The format of the displayed document is Plain/text or PDF type (preview format).

 

Preview format [Adelia Cloud]

Used to choose the default format for previewing a print file.

Possible options:

Text

Plain/text MIME type (default).

PDF

Application/pdf MIME type.

 

Notes:

In Preview print mode and Text format, the Information group attributes are not significant.

In Preview print mode and PDF format, only the Font and Orientation attributes of the Information group are significant.
