Access
The details below are displayed when an SQL database (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, Microsoft Access, MySQL or PostgreSQL) has been selected in the Database manager list in certain Database management tool utilities.
NB.: the following database management tool utilities are concerned:
Lists
Database
Name or the URL access of the database. If an Adelia environment/buffer is created in a schema, URL can optionally contain a schema name (in the form SCHEMA/URL).
Mandatory entry.
Radio buttons
Connected user
The user connects to the database without specifying a profile or password.
Enter the connection user profile
The user connects to the database using the profile and password specified below.
Data entry

Connection profile.
Mandatory entry if the "Enter the connection user profile" radio button is checked.
Password
Password associated with the connection profile.
Mandatory entry if the "Enter the connection user profile" radio button is checked.
Middleware connection options

Run via a Middleware connection
The user connects to the remote database using Hardis Middleware.
Data entry
Host name
Name of the Middleware server.
Mandatory field if the "Run via a Middleware connection" option is selected.
Port
Middleware daemon connection port on the server.
Mandatory field if the "Run via a Middleware connection" option is selected.
User
Connection profile.
Mandatory field if the "Run via a Middleware connection" option is selected.
Password
Password associated with the connection profile.
Mandatory field if the "Run via a Middleware connection" option is selected.
