Access

To work with the macro-instructions in the current application area, select the Macro-instructions option in the 4GL Editor's Repository menu.

The dialog box will automatically be opened at the MAC tab.

Notes:

    • If the source in the active window is a Visual Adelia type management rule or program or an Adelia Server type program, this option will not appear in the menu. In this case, if you click on the MAC tab, the dialog box will be shown completely shaded.
    • You can minimize the dialog box by double-clicking on the title bar, which will leave only the title bar visible.

Retrieve

Where only one macro-instruction has been selected, this option is used to insert its name into the source in the active document, at the cursor's current position.
This option is only active if one or more macro-instructions are selected from the list.
Default option.

Create

Opens a dialog box that lets you create a new macro-instruction.

Modify

Opens a dialog box that lets you view or modify the characteristics of the selected macro-instructions.

This option is only active if one or more macro-instructions are selected from the list.

Delete

Opens a message box, asking you to confirm that you want to effectively delete the selected macro-instructions.

Once this option has been validated, the macro-instruction list will be updated.

If a macro-instruction is attached to other application areas, it will not be deleted, but will be detached from the current application area.

This option is only active if one or more macro-instructions are selected from the list.

Attach/Detach

Opens a dialog box that lets you select macro-instructions in the repository and attach them to the current application area, or else detach macro-instructions that have already been attached.

Individual comparison

Opens the Individual comparison dialog box for each selected macro-instruction.

This dialog box is used to compare the selected macro-instruction's source with the source of another macro-instruction (from either the same or a different environment).

Global comparison

Opens the Global comparison dialog box, which is used to run a comparison of the sources of a list of objects between the current environment and another.

The list of objects to be compared is initialized with the selected macro-instructions.

Open source

Opens a separate window for each macro-instruction selected: each window will contain the source for one of the selected macro-instructions.

This option is only active if one or more macro-instructions are selected from the list.

Hold

Opens a dialog box enabling the selected macro-instructions to be held by the default correction.

This option is only visible in correction environments. It is only active if one or more macro-instructions are selected in the list and the user has a default correction.
