The export process creates an Excel file, AdeliaCST_fr.xlsm, containing the translation manager's constants for translation.
When you open the constant file in Excel, it is advisable to enable the control that prevents the accidental modification of any cells whose values must not be changed. To do so, activate the 'Lock' macro using Excel's Tools/Macro/Macro/Run (after selecting 'Lock') menu option.

Extension

Max Length
Maximal length authorized for the translation, which can be customized by modifying the Visual Basic AdeliaFonctionLgMax (MaxLgAdeliaFunction) function (e.g. by allowing 5% more for a button label, 200% for a pop-up menu, etc.).
By default, this function forbids translations to be longer than 250 characters, and checks in the case of a "N" extension that the translation length does not exceed that of the source text.
Control
This column displays the word "WARNING" if the translation exceeds the length indicated in the "Max Length" column for the lengths in red.
The values in this column must not be changed.

Application area
Application area to which the program or report mentioned in the "Source" column is attached.
Button: Stop timestamp/Start timestamp
By clicking the button Stop timestamp, the Excel macro used to indicate automatically when a translation was last modified is deactivated. Consequently, the "Last modification" column's header becomes "Last translation (Timestamp temporarily halted)".
By clicking the button Start timestamp, the Excel macro used to indicate automatically when a translation was last modified is reactivated. The title for the "Last modification" column's header remains "Last translation (Timestamp temporarily halted)".
Notes:
- When the macro indicating the last modification date is active, the option Cancel xxxx in the Edit menu is not active. This is why in the case of certain operations where deactivating the Cancel option is annoying, it can be interesting to stop timestamp to be able to use the option.
- The columns in the Excel file are not automatically sized according to the cell contents, and some cells may overflow. You can configure the column width by changing their size in the Excel template file %ADELIWS%\AdeliaMSG_en.xlsm (or %ADELIWS%\AdeliaMSG_fr.xlsm for the French version).
